How to Add a Bus to the List?

This article will explain how to add a bus to the list from scratch.

For example, we will add a bus to this route. New York, NY -> New Jersey, NJ-> Virginia, VA.

The bus stops/boarding points are:

1. New York, NY
   – Alfred Station, NY (Boarding Point/Bus Stop)
   – Binghamton, NY (Boarding Point/Bus Stop)
   
2. New Jersey, NJ
   – Atlantic City, NJ (Boarding Point/Bus Stop) 
   
3. Virginia, VA
   – Bristol, VA (Bus Stop) 
   

Step-1: Let’s create a bus type first.

1. AC
2. Non AC

To create bus type, go to Bus-> Category.

Step-2: We will create Bus Stops/Boarding Points now. Go Bus-> Bus Stops.

Step-3: We will add a bus now. Go Bus-> Add New Bus.

For example, we named the bus Green Line. We have selected the Bus Type and Bus Featured Image from the right sidebar.

 

Step-4: Now, we’ll set up the bus configuration. Click on the Bus Configuration tab.

Under Bus Configuration, we will set:

1. Coach No.
2. Total Seat
3. Bus Price Zero Allow
4. Bus Sell-Off
5. Bus Seat Available Show

Step-5: Then, we’ll set up Routing. Click on the Routing tab. Routing is an essential setting. A slight mistake will cause not appearing this bus on the search list.

Here we’ll add:

1. Boarding Point and Dropping Point with time(24-hour format is allowed).
   Note: Boarding points and Dropping points have come from Bus Stops categories. You must match the sequence between the boarding points and dropping points. See how we have done in the screenshot. Otherwise, this bus will not appear on the search list.
2. As we selected, this bus will return in the Bus Configuration setting; we have set up the Return Route as we have done in the screenshot.

Step-6: Now, we’ll set up Seat Pricing. Click on the Seat Price tab.

Here, we’ll add up:

1. Seat price:
   – Adult Price(Mandatory)
   – Child Price(Optional)
   – Infant Price(Optional)
2. Return Seat price:
   – Adult Price(Mandatory)
   – Child Price(Optional)
   – Infant Price(Optional)

Step-7: Now we’ll set up pickup points. Pickup points present extra options to choose a specific location to enter the bus under a boarding point.  At first, we will add a few pickup points for Alfred Station from Bus-> Pickup Points.

These are:

1. Belmont Road, Alfred Station
2. Clark Road, Alfred Station

Now we’ll set up Pickup Points. Click on the Pickup Points tab. Add a boarding point from the left side dropdown. You will see a table with pickup points and times. We have set the pickup point and times. See screenshot.

Step-8: Now we’ll set up Bus Onday & Offday. If you want to set Onday & Offday at different times, you can do it from here. See screenshot:

Step-9: Now, we’ll set up the Registration Form. This is PRO feature. If you want to add a custom field in the passenger details form, you can use this feature. See screenshot:
